Seek the Self
An old man was memorizing Sanskrit grammar rules and formulas written by Maharishi Panini. The master, who was passing by, compassionately told him that devotedly reciting the Lord’s name would be his saviour in life, not grammar rules. The message is that one should focus on the Supreme Self as the primary goal in life, rather than on mundane activities. Only a human being has the potential to inquire and seek the truth. It would be foolish for him not to live up to his potential and waste his energies on the physical, mental, and intellectual pleasures of the world.
