Atmabodha
Goals in life vary from person to person, but the ultimate goal for everyone is the same: achieving unbroken bliss. Vedanta highlights this Akhanda-Ananda as your true nature. The desire for pleasure drives you to seek it externally. This endless search results from ignorance and ends only when one gains Knowledge of the Self. This gaining is not of something previously unattained, but rather revealing what is already within you at all times. Atmabodha (Self-knowledge), by Adi Shankaracharya, is an introductory text that explains the core principles of Vedanta using simple metaphors from nature and our experiences.
